After Liverpool won against Rangers, Jürgen Klopp praised Liverpool’s new-look attack Darwin Núñez, as their team comfortably beat Rangers and strengthened their Champions League qualification hopes at Anfield.
In Liverpool’s victory against Rangers, Trent Alexander-Arnold scored a goal with a free kick, and Mohamed Salah scored with a penalty. The victory was not only with two goals but also with a reshaped forward line that enabled them to dominate the Rangers.
It was Núñez’s first European start for Liverpool, and he impressed Klopp with his spectacular performance.
Klopp said the way the boys up front moved together was extremely good, especially for only one session working on it, and that was a low-intensity session because of their recent workload. Moreover, he said we never did it before, and you saw how good a striker Darwin is to be constantly in those situations.
Klopp said I think our setup was the bigger surprise tonight, we surprised ourselves, and these situations can then happen, and It was difficult to defend. He said Diogo Jota moved particularly well between the lines, It was a difficult game and occasion for Rangers, but we respect them a lot.
